Eddie Vedder Praised Chance The Rapper In His Rock Hall Of Fame Speech

For most of the humans on earth Eddie Vedder is the lead singer of Pearl Jam and a musical god, but for two special girls he’s just “Dad” and unsurprisingly their musical tastes are immaculate. When Pearl Jam was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame this past weekend, Eddie took a moment in his acceptance speech to shout out Chance The Rapper, let him know his daughter loves him and thank him for all of his humanitarian efforts in their native Chicago because everybody loves Chance.

“If Chance the Rapper ever sees or hears this,” Eddie said during his speech, “I just want to tell him, my daughter really loves you.” He wasn’t done there though, as he continued by saying “Chance, want to thank you for all the great work you’re doing in Chicago. That gives us all hope.”

Vedder is of course a native Chicagoan who is renown for his own charitable and humanitarian efforts both in the city and beyond.

For Chance, it’s just the latest in a long line of legends and his contemporaries to offer hat tips and pats on the back for everything he has done both musically and in the city of Chicago, and that doesn’t seem to be stopping any time soon.
