Gucci Mane Celebrates The Anniversary Of His Release From Prison With ‘Droptopwop’

It’s been a whole year since Gucci Mane was released from jail after serving three years for a 2013 incident where he hit an Army staff sergeant over the head with a bottle after he asked for autograph at an Atlanta nightclub. As expected, Guwop spent the last 12 months making up for lost time, dropping several albums, numerous guest appearances, going on tour and maybe even commissioning the help of a clone to get all of that done. Now, Gucci is celebrating, dropping a new 10-song LP for his fans titled Droptopwop.

As he noted on social media, the project is produced entirely by Metro Boomin — who is featured on the cover — and features guest appearances from Rick Ross, 2 Chainz and Young Dolph. Oh yeah, and according to Guwop, the price of a guest verse from the East Atlanta Santa is going up, by $200,000, so if you want Gucci on a track you’re going to have to back up the brinks truck.

But Gucci isn’t the only rapper bringing in Memorial Day weekend with a new album, so he took the time to shout out Lil Yachty for the release of his new album Teenage Emotions on his Instagram, spreading love like he always does.
