Gucci Mane’s House Arrest Is Over, Which Could Mean A Tour Is On The Way

Gucci Mane’s efforts to regain his standing as a regular citizen just took another huge stride forward on Tuesday.

The rapper shared a video on Instagram that showed him taking the scissors to his ankle monitoring bracelet, which is as sure a sign as any that he’s off house arrest. “Woptober. It’s on the way baby. 10/17,” he can be heard saying. In the background, his ever present girlfriend Keyshia Ka’oir chimes in to say “It’s over with.”

Round of applause of Mr. Zone 6. He’s been home from prison since May and has only had good fortunes coming his way. Getting off house arrest means he won’t be relegated to inviting friends and such over for video shoots. But, on a larger scale, this also opens up opportunities to for him to tour behind his Everybody Looking album as well as his upcoming Woptober project – along with any other tricks he has up his sleeve.

Even before he was released, plans were already in the works for a “50-city national tour,” something announced while he was behind bars. Doing shows means more money in his pocket plus chances to earn even more by selling features and doing club appearances for each city he ends up in.

Of course, that’s all speculation because what Gucci does next will all come with stipulations from his parole officer because he’s supposedly on papers until 2019. But, for now, let’s rejoice in the moment knowing his recidivism process is moving along without a hitch.
