LeBron James Is Premiering Kendrick Lamar’s ‘DAMN.’ On Instagram 15 Seconds At A Time Right Now

Once again, LeBron James’ Instagram is the place to go for new music and he’s back with another huge premier with Kendrick Lamar’s new album DAMN. James is letting off 15 second clips of the album in his Instagram story all morning and fans are going crazy already.

Usually, with the playoffs set to kick off Saturday morning, LeBron would already be in his “Zero Dark 30” mode and abandoning social media altogether, but with K. Dot coming through with a new album Bron had to break his own rule just a tad. In the videos, James knows the lyrics to whatever song or songs he’s playing, so clearly he’s had the album for some time now. It’s similar to last month when Drake’s More Life released, and through some savvy, internet sleuthing it was surmised that he had the track “Lose You” from that album at least a few months before it was ever released to the public.

LeBron’s connection with Kung-Fu Kenny goes back a while now, as it was supposedly after the NBA star’s nudging that Top Dawg and TDE decided to release Kendrick’s untitled unmastered. last year. James went so far as to hit up Top on Twitter, which led to the release.

Whatever the case, they’re clearly connected, at least enough for Bron to score an advance copy of the most anticipated album of the year and drop some exclusives on his Instagram, and they’ve even been spotted dapping each other up at Lakers games in Los Angeles. Thankfully, he decided to share the fruits of that relationship with the world, 15 seconds at a time.
