It seems like almost every major crew in hip-hop history has had a defining characteristic which has been shared amongst each other. Whether it was Rocafella rhymers’ entrepreneurial spirit, TDE members pushing the sonic boundaries of “gangsta rap,” or members of Death Row brushing up against real life issues which reflected their music, hip-hop crews tend to rub off on each other. For Quality Control, their defining characteristic is a tireless work ethic. Take Migos’ Culture II album – which was a victory lap from their busy 2017. Lil Yachty is learning from their prolific musical output, as the young artist is apparently crafting at least three projects at once. He’s working on his Lil Boat 2 solo tape, a collaboration with Lil Pump, and an upcoming project with Gucci Mane and Migos which he recently announced.

Quavo spoke on the Glacier Boyz project on the Breakfast Club, but he mentioned just Migos and Gucci Mane being involved in the project. Now, it looks like they invited Lil Boat out to the icy waters on the upcoming collaboration tape. We don’t know much else beyond the fact that they’re working, but it’s likely that there will be no shortage of flashy, braggadocios bangers on the project.
