You can thank the fans for this one. After teasing it out all weekend, Nicki Minaj finally unveiled her brand new “Regret In Your Tears,” video today. Directed by visionary talents, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the video also stars Grey’s Anatomy alumni Jesse Williams. The visuals are sexy, haunting and filled with intrigue and mystery.

Described by Minaj herself as her, “favorite song of all-time,” it seems to describe a relationship gone bad. Minaj raps, “Regret in your tears, now you taste ’em / ‘Cause you know I don’t chase, I replace ’em.” Adding, “I just want the memories, tried to make some with you / Now I gotta erase some with you.”

Naturally, many people quickly assumed the song is about Nicki’s longtime relationship with Meek Mill that came to an end earlier this year. “To confirm, yes I am single,” she wrote on Twitter in January. “Focusing on my work & looking forward to sharing it with you guys really soon. Have a blessed New Year. Love u.”

On Sunday, promised that if her fans viewed the preview clip more than a million times, then she would drop the video. They met that goal in just two hours time, proving that she has one of the most rabid fanbases in the entire music realm.
