It looks and sounds like ScHoolboy Q is primed and ready for the new year. The TDE MC posted the above photo on Instagram with a caption noting his tour was over and he ready to hit the studio. “Euros, pounds, and sum moe sHit!!! BLANKFACE TOUR IS OVER,” he wrote, “New album 2017. F*ck a break, I’m already ready.”

The news comes with a welcome from fans, who are still probably riding around enjoying Groovy Q’s Blank Face LP still. Currently, the project is up for Grammy consideration with a nomination for Rap’s Album of the Year and finds itself sitting high on many year-end lists. The excitement to record is a big change for Q, who took over two years to between OxyMoron and Blank Face and admitted he was on the brink of quitting during that time.

So far, there has been the usual Twitter confirmation or denial from any of the Top Dawg higher-ups but they’ll obviously have final say on just when and if any new material will be released from the camp. Currently, they’re still in the process of doing promo for Ab-Soul’s Do What Thou Wilt and SZA appears to be next on deck.

While we wait to see what’s next, check out the fourth and final installment of Q’s Blank Face tour vlog below. The previous three installments can be found right here.
