Scotty ATL Makes A Case For Atlanta’s Most Consistent Rapper With His ‘Daily Bread’ LP

Music should be therapeutic. Whether listeners want to turn up or dial down, a good tune should help expedite that temperature change. Per usual, Scotty ATL’s latest offering has fuel for any mood.

Scotty’s Daily Bread is the latest in a long line of a extremely well-rounded releases from the Atlanta staple, dating back to projects like F.A.I.T.H., SPAGHETTI Junction and The Cooligan. Each one of those cohesive projects displayed various emotions for fans to latch on to and his latest release is no different.

Had a long day and looking to smoke one to float away? Turn on the pillowy pounding of “SO HIGH” with Jaydot Rain. Looking to shake the fakers and chill in the cut? Turn up “M.Y.O.B.” loud as your speakers will go and jam out to the loosey goosey banger. Feeling down and need some positive reinforcement? Rest your eyes to the guitar-laved grooves of “Kno That U Will” or the blue collar blues of “Can’t Be Life.” Lose someone from your inner circle? Pour one out with the Ty Dolla $ign-assisted “Bye Bye,” Scotty’s soulful dedication track to the late Bankroll Fresh. So on and so forth.

“Some of the greatest rappers told their life stories,” Scotty ATL shared via press release. “That’s what I’m doing. I’m giving people my real life, the good, the bad and the ugly.”

He continued, “”It feels wonderful to get this project out of my body, mind, and spirit. I had to overcome a lot just to get it out. With this particular project I wanted for people to see my growth as an artist and as a lyricist, I wanted my fans to be able to follow the story of who I am as a person and I what went through.”

There are 11 songs and every one has repeat value. Just turn it on and you’re set. ATL manages to offer a balance between catchy and meaningful, while competitive releases tend to lean one way or the other. That’s rare and also why Scotty’s Daily Bread should be added to your regular diet immediately.
