T.I. has released an official statement as police piece together the final puzzles of what happened at the rapper’s NYC concert Wednesday night that left one person dead and three others injured — including local rapper Troy Ave, who was caught on tape shooting away.

“My heart is heavy today,” the Hustle Gang boss sadly expressed on social media. “Our music is intended to save lives, like it has mine and many others. My heartfelt condolences to the family that suffered the loss and my prayers are with all those injured.”

Brooklyn rapper Maino, who was reportedly on the Irving Plaza stage when shots rang out, issued a statement as well, sending condolences to shooting victim and BSB member Ronald “Banga” McPhatter. Maino also reassured fans that he had nothing to do with the shooting, writing on Instagram, “What transpired was absolutely NOT the result of MYSELF or ANYBODY IN MY CAMP, ENTOURAGE, TRAVELING PARTY or ORGANIZATION IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM.” Maino went on to say that he and his crew entered Irving Plaza “respectfully” and left “shocked like all other concertgoers.” The “Hi Hater” rapper also used the space to shut down stories of any rumored Troy/Maino beef.

For the last 5 years Troy Ave, his team and I have had a great working relationship. Not only have we performed and done several songs together but we’ve had many personal conversations about life our goals and efforts as musicians. Despite media reports to the contrary, there are No “ongoing beefs” or “entourage issues.” It always has been and always will be good relations between myself AND MY TEAM and @TroyAve @Hovain @YoungLitoBsB and the BSB crew.

Sad situation all around.

Rest In Peace Bro. God bless.

First and foremost my deepest condolences to the family & friends of Ronald Mcphatter who was tragically killed last night. Despite having to cope with more senseless violence. I woke up to the usual FALSE and ridiculous lies being circulated by irresponsible members of the media. What transpired was absolutely NOT the result of MYSELF or ANYBODY IN MY CAMP , ENTOURAGE, TRAVELING PARTY or ORGANIZATION IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM. We entered the venue respectfully as always and exited in shocked like all other concertgoers. For the last 5 years Troy Ave, his team and I have had a great working relationship. Not only have we performed and done several songs together but we've had many personal conversations about life our goals and efforts as musicians. Despite media reports to the contrary, there are No "ongoing beefs" or "entourage issues." It always has been and always will be good relations between myself AND MY TEAM and @TroyAve @Hovain @YoungLitoBsB and the BSB crew. Our deepest sympathies again to family of Ronald McPhatter and a speedy recovery to Troy Ave. The movement will not be stopped. #BROOKLYNUNITED #HEARDYOU
