We”ve already established that Dave Filoni and company peppered “The Clone Wars” with Indiana Jones Easter eggs. But why stop there? While the Season 2 premiere of “Star Wars Rebels” was sadly lacking in hidden callbacks to temples of doom or last crusades, there WAS a shout-out to another Lucasfilm property: the upcoming “The Force Awakens.”

With the “Rebels” picking back up sometime this fall, eagle-eared(?) viewers will hopefully catch more references to the big screen sequel. Maybe even one or two we won”t realize until we have proper hindsight come December 18!
