Every now and then, the idea for a parody is so obvious that no one can see it. So it just sits around, patiently waiting for humanity to put two and two together.. Such is the case with “Chewie,” a Nerdist take on the opening theme from “Louie.”
Nerdist imagines “Chewie” as a comedy series where the galaxy-weary Chewbacca offers a glimpse inside the day-to-day ordeals of his quest to find love and perform his hilarious brand of guttural stand-up. But I have to wonder, does this mean Chewbacca and his wife Malla divorced? Is Lumpy a latch-key kid? Tell me, Nerdist!
