A Closer Look at ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Thanks to International ‘Harry Potter’ Fans

We were promised there was something special coming out of VidCon when the latest Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them poster was revealed. Now we can thank some international YouTube stars for some exciting new stuff from the Harry Potter prequel spinoff.

The VidCon presentation is 40 minutes long, but thankfully Warner Bros. has already started splitting up the fun featurettes they showed off there.

J.K. Rowling spoke a bit on Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander. “My heroes are always people who feel themselves to be set apart, stigmatized, or othered. That's at the heart of most of what I write.” Rowling explained. “[Newt] has been traveling the world, studying magical creatures. He calls himself a Magizoologist.”

There're some new clips featured in this video as well.

And then we get into jealousy territory as YouTube stars from all over the world got to practice magic on the set of the film.

Here's the full VidCon panel which features some of the same folks. They took questions from social media, the live audience, and Rowling.

As an added bonus, Pottermore pulled this adorable Bowtruckle gif for us.
