ABC in ‘conversations’ about ‘Star Wars’ TV series

The Star Wars universe could soon be flying in to ABC.

At the Television Critics Association press tour, ABC head Channing Dungey indicated there have been talks to bring in a project from their sister company, Lucasfilm, the originator of the Star Wars franchise.

“We have had conversations with [Lucasfilm] and we will continue to have conversations with them. I think it would be wonderful if we could find a way to extend that brand onto our programming,” Dungey said, this according to Variety.

“It”s all a little bit hush-hush. That company exists under a big shroud of secrecy,” Dungey added. “[Talks] are ongoing. We don”t really have an official timeline yet.”

When it comes to bringing projects from the Star Wars world to TV, Lucasfilm hasn”t been shy, but so far it”s been children”s programming like Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

As for what projects are being discussed, that”s a mystery probably stored deep in the bowels of the Death Star.
