We officially have our Mera. Amber Heard, who was rumored to be in talks for the part of Aquaman's lady friend back in January, confirmed that she has joined the cast.
Heard discussed her costume with Entertainment Tonight: “It's interesting. It's like, half suit of armor, half scales … We're in the process of building it now, so it's coming along.” Mera is the queen of Atlantis, so, you know, the costume had better be fantastic.
She'll first appear in Justice League: Part One in 2017 before moving onto the Aquaman standalone film scheduled for release in 2018. Aquaman is, of course, being played by Jason Momoa.
