Last year, some folks thought Marvel had finally made a misstep when they decided to make a movie about a sentient tree and a talking raccoon. That assumption turned out to be a bit off-base. This year, Marvel is taking absurdity to the next level.
With a leap of faith the size of the last jump in Super Mario Bros. World 8-1, they”re taking Ant-Man”s powers seriously. Yes, Paul Rudd communes with the ants in the first full-length trailer. Yes, that should be a laughable prospect, right up there with nipples on rubber suits.
And yet, it isn”t. What sorcery is this?
“Ant-Man” crawls into theaters on July 17th, 2015.
