After becoming a top Twitterer and ranting about the loud construction next to his home on YouTube, Ashton Kutcher is getting back to work.  The “What Happens in Vegas” star is in negotiations to star in the football comedy “Traded.”

A spin on “Freaky Friday,” Variety reports the the Paramount Picture would find Kutcher playing an NFL quarterback who magically trades bodies with a 12-year-old middle school geek.  Not surprisingly, he quickly learns some valuable lessons about humility and courage.

Brian Robbins and Mike Tolin, who have made a career championing sports films such as “Hardball,” “Coach Carter” and “Varsity Blues” will produce.  It’s unclear who is directing at this time or when production would begin.

Kutcher’s raunchy gigolo comedy “Spread” received mixed reviews after its debut at the Sundance Film Festival, but should be released later this year.  The actor also has the independent drama “Personal Effects” in the can, but it’s unclear if and when it will ever receive a U.S. theatrical release.
