BBC America just ordered another season of fan-favorite ‘Orphan Black’

Clone Club rejoice! Seestras will be back next year. BBC America has renewed the critically-acclaimed series “Orphan Black” for a fourth season.

When making the announcement “Orphan Black” co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson said, “We're thrilled to be moving forward with season four of the Orphan Black saga. Huge thanks to our partners Temple Street Productions, and to BBC America and Space. We're extremely excited about where our story lines are going, and look forward to riding the rollercoaster with our amazing fans.”

BBC America President and General Manager Sarah Barnett gushed about star Tatiana Maslany, calling her a turn as multiple characters a “…buzzy, virtuoso performance.”

Critics and fans agree. “Orphan Black” has received surfeit of awards, including a Peabody Award in 2014. Lead actress Tatiana Maslany has received two Critics” Choice Awards for Best Actress, a TCA Award for Individual Achievement, a Young Hollywood Award, a Gracie Award, two Canadian Screen Awards and Golden Globe®, SAG and People”s Choice nominations.

The third season finale arrives on June 20. There is no word yet on when season four of “Orphan Black” would begin production.

 “Orphan Black” airs Saturdays at 9/8c on  BBC America.
