‘Bloodline’: Netflix series picked up for Season 3

There”s good news for fans of the Rayburns and the Netflix series Bloodline. It”s been picked up for a third season.

The streaming service today announced that the Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated show, about a Florida family with dark secrets (isn”t this true of every family in Florida?), received a 10-episode order. While the first season of the show was 13 episodes, last year was decreased to only 10 episodes. So perhaps that”s going to be the norm going forward for Bloodline.

In a statement, Cindy Holland, VP of Original Content for Netflix, said that producers “have created a riveting family saga…We can”t wait to see what the next chapter holds.”

Bloodline stars Emmy winner Kyle Chandler, Oscar winner Sissy Spacek, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini and Norbert Leo Butz.

The series will return in 2017.
