“Housewives” seem to be a gift that keeps on giving to Bravo, as it formally picks up “The Real Housewives of D.C.” for its first season and “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” for a second.

The cast is yet to be determined for the former, with a focus to be on the ladies of Washington political society. As previously reported, the series will premiere in 2010.

Meanwhile, the ladies of Jersey will reconvene in 2010 as well. Of the four current “Real Housewives” series – New York, New Jersey, Atlanta and the O.C.” – this particular crew dons the crown of being the highest rated amongst all demographics. According to a release, it averages 2.55 million total viewers.

The first season reunion of “New Jersey” culled the network it’s highest ever viewership for a reunion special yet.

Bravo also already renewed “The Real Housewives of New York” earlier this year for a third season.
