Aaron Paul talks ‘Breaking Bad’ series finale: ‘I couldn’t wait’ on final eight

Aaron Paul has his plate full with future projects like “Need for Speed” and “A Long Way Down.” But all eyes are on the 33-year-old actor for the series finale of “Breaking Bad,” where all await for the ultimate fate of his now-iconic character of Jesse Pinkman.

And for fans of the show, Paul himself has warned of its final eps: “You guys are gonna sh*t your pants.”

HitFix was on hand for a recent interview with the actor, as he told journalists about getting a hold of the final scripts, and how much time he took to read them.

“In all honesty, I couldn”t wait. [I thought] if I got an email on my phone with the final eight [episodes], I thought to myself, ‘I”m gonna wait to get home and actually have the paper scripts, sit on the couch, drink some wine and take my time with it.’ But in all reality, probably six out of the eight episodes I read from my phone on a plane to something,” he said. “I could not wait. I”m a huge fan of the show as well.”

He said he took his time with the final two, actually did buy some wine. As for everyone else’s anxious journey to part two of season five, he said that he hasn’t leaked any juicy info on the fate of he and Bryan Cranston’s Walt White.

“I don”t have a problem not telling people because I don”t want to ruin it for anybody. Everyone asks me, but they don”t really want to know, and I know that,” he said. “Before I read the final eight episodes, the final eight hours of the show, I was thinking to myself, ‘This is so tragic. I can”t believe this show is ending.” I didn”t want it to end. But after knowing how the final eight hours play out, I couldn”t be happier with the way that it ended.  Hopefully, you all agree, and I feel pretty confident you will agree.”

“Breaking Bad” returns to AMC for the final season on Aug. 11.
