Perhaps sensing the impending Judgment Day for “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” Brian Austin Green has been cast in The CW’s “Body Politic.”
Also joining “Body Politics,” which is accumulating one of the pilot season’s most interesting casts, are Gabrielle Union, Jay Hernandez and Jenny Wade.
“Body Politic” comes from CBS Paramount TV is looks at Beltway wheelings and dealings through the eyes of up-and-coming staffers.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Notorious B.A.G. will play an advisor to the president. Union will play a legislative director and sometime-girlfriend to Green’s character. Hernandez will play a naval officer. And Wade will play another young staffer.
These four actors join Minka Kelly (“Friday Night Lights”), Jason Dohring (“Veronica Mars”) and Tim Matheson (“Animal House”) in the “Body Politic” pilot.
For Green, “Body Politic” is in second position to “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” which is looking like a longshot for renewal on FOX. Other credits for Green include “Freddie” and “Beverly Hills, 90210.”
[The big question: If Green ends up on a CW series, would that make a David Silver cameo on “90210” more likely?]
Union, who started a guest arc on “Life” last week, did a stint on “Ugly Betty” and was a regular on the short-lived remake of “Night Stalker.”
Hernandez, whose feature roles include “Hostel” and “Friday Night Lights,” was a regular on ABC’s “Six Degrees.”
Wade is currently guesting as a sexy demon on The CW’s “Reaper” and starred in all three “Feast” films. [There were three “Feast” films? Why yes, there were.]
