Brooks Wheelan: “SNL” fired me
One of seven featured players hired last season, Wheelan just tweeted: “Had a blast and loved every second of it. I'm totally honored to be able to make this next joke… FIRED FROM NEW YORK IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT!” The L.A.-based standup comic, considered the most likely to be fired of last season's new featured players, last year documented his “SNL” hiring in a video capturing one second from each day of 2013. PLUS: Wheelan quit his job as an engineer to join “SNL.”
