“The Giver” seems to take place in a faraway, dystopian universe where feelings are illegal. But is it that far-out a concept? Cameron Monaghan, who plays a pal of the story's protagonist Jonah (Brenton Thwaites), doesn't think so.
We sat down with Monaghan, a vet of Showtime's “Shameless” as well as the movies “Click” and “Prom,” to talk about filming the most daunting scene in “The Giver” and whether or not Asher, his character, is ultimately likable.
