Curious to see what “Sex and the City” sexpot Samantha Jones looked like as a teenager in the upcoming season of “The Carrie Diaries”? You’re not the only one.
“We start [filming Season 2] in a couple weeks in the city, and we’re introducing Samantha Jones into the mix so that’s gonna be a lot of fun,” “Diaries” star AnnaSophia Robb told me during the recent press junket for her upcoming comedy “The Way, Way Back.” “They just started casting sessions right now, so I’m very excited to see.”
Samantha, of course, was made indelible on the flagship HBO series by actress Kim Cattrall, so whoever this new actress ends up being, there’s no doubt she’s got some big Manolos to fill.
“The Carrie Diaries” Season 2 premieres this fall on the CW. “The Way, Way Back” hits theaters on July 5.
