Cinema Sins questions the totalitarian government’s commitment in ‘V for Vendetta’

If you cock your head sideways and squint a bit, “V For Vendetta” totally looks like Bizarro-Batman. He”s got the cape, the secret identity, the vengeance in the night. But instead of justice or truth, V only wants revenge. If he can slide in some anti-dictatorship propaganda, all the better.

But Cinema Sins is less concerned with the morally bankrupt hero, and more concerned with the slipshod totalitarianism that passes for “evil” in this movie. George Orwell would be ashamed.
