Well, as I predicted at the end of yesterday’s post about Coachella, the announcement would come today and so it did. Looks like our buddy Ryan Seacrest’s list was not 100% accurate, but he had some of it right. I certainly believe him more more than the p.r. flacks who were running around yesterday pretending they didn’t know when the line-up would be announced. The line-up went out at 2:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Biggest names: Paul McCartney, the Killers, the Cure, Morrissey, Amy Winehouse (I’ll believe that one when I see it), Franz Ferdinand, My Bloody Valentine and Leonard Cohen. (As I correctly predicted in yesterday’s post, both the Foo Fighters and Poe were red herrings on Seacrest’s list)

More than 130 acts will play the 10th annual Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, which takes place April 17-19 at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, Calif.

Tickets are on sale… wait for it… NOW (well, 9 a.m.). Three-day passes are $281 (this includes a charity and facility fee-since when is a dirt field a facility?) and $103 for a day pass.
