Daniel Radcliffe: I’d do another ‘Harry Potter’ movie

Never say never again.

While the original Harry Potter movie series is over, the person who played the title character, Daniel Radcliffe, hasn”t hung up his wizarding wand for good.

In an interview with Radio Times, Radcliffe said any potential return to play Harry would “depend on the script…The circumstances would have to be pretty extraordinary. But then I am sure Harrison Ford said that with Han Solo and look what happened there! So I am saying, ‘No,” for now but leaving room to backtrack in the future.”

It”s hard to say whether that opportunity will happen, but the woman behind the phenomenon, J. K. Rowling, hasn”t left that world behind. There”s the continuing story on the Pottermore website, the spin-off book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (which is already being made into a movie with Eddie Redmayne) as well as the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. That stage show is soon to open up in London”s West End theater district.

In a 2010 interview, Radcliffe told MTV that Rowling promised him “she wasn”t going to make any more “Harry Potter” films.” But then again, there's a lot of money in wizardry.

The Harry Potter movie franchise has grossed an unadjusted $7.7 billion worldwide since it began in 2001. As for the books on which the films were based, they sold over 400 million copies, making it the best-selling book series ever.
