It's been a few years since The Office went off the air in the UK but its cult status is still going strong. Strong enough, in fact, to warrant a spinoff movie that will premiere on Netflix in 2017. David Brent: Life on the Road features Ricky Gervais reprising his role as David Brent, the self-deluded, cringe-inducing general manager at Wernham-Hogg, but this time he's out of the office and living his dream of being a touring rockstar.
Life on the Road, also filmed mockumentary style, takes place 15 years after the events of The Office as a crew follows Brent touring the country. While the movie may not have the initial charm of the original Office episodes, it definitely features the secondhand embarrassment that drove the series. The movie premieres on Netflix next year.
