Deadpool has some harsh words for Wolverine on Australia Day

20th Century Fox isn”t slowing down the creative marketing for “Deadpool” anytime soon. Their gift to the Internet today: Deadpool poking fun at Wolverine just in time for Australia Day.

It”s not really Wolverine himself that”s getting made fun of here but a “Wolverine” movie. Believe it or not, Fox has allowed its marketing team to openly mock “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” though Deadpool here makes clear that it“s not Aussie actor Hugh Jackman he has a problem with. “That was a career low for me,” he says of the poorly-received film that had Ryan Reynolds first taking on the character in 2009.

This isn”t the first time “Deadpool” marketing has jabbed “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” though. The trailer announcement had a deep-voiced narrator (who turns out to be Deadpool) pronouncing, “from the studio that inexplicably sewed his f—ing mouth shut the first time.”

Below, watch the new promo for Australia Day (which is coming up soon on January 26), complete with a cork hat and Reynolds trying out an Aussie accent:

“Deadpool” opens in theaters Friday, February 12.
