Here’s what we want from a Ben Affleck-directed solo Batman movie

Warner Brothers has revealed several new release dates for their upcoming films, including pushing Jungle Book back a year to October 19, 2018 and Wonder Woman forward by three weeks to June 2, 2017.

Deadline reports that also in the mix is an “Untitled WB Event Film” (possibly related to the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) which will hit theaters on Jungle Book's previous date October 6, 2017 and two “Untitled DC Films” scheduled for October 5, 2018, and November 1, 2019.

One of those DC films very well may be (likely is) the oft-discussed solo Batman movie.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder has been speaking with Joe.ie about Affleck's solo Batman endeavor, which the actor/director has already turned in a treatment for.

When asked where they are with the project, Snyder replied:

I keep working on him, he”s always said he”s a one movie at a time guy. He”s finishing editing his film, Live By Night and then he comes to Justice League and then after that, I think he”s going to try and develop the story. Then we”ll see if he likes it.

The question on many fans minds is whether Affleck would also helm the film, Snyder seemed certain that he would.

Oh yeah, for sure. I think he would. I think that”s kind of the prerequisite, hopefully, for him doing [the film].

Here, Donna Dickens and Roth Cornet talk about what they want from a Ben Affleck-helmed Batman movie, should it move forward, and if one of these new mystery release dates is in fact for The Batman.
