“Whip It” may not have broken any ground at the box office, but might its stars be ready to bring HBO a new comedy series?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Whip It” star Ellen Page, co-star Alia Shawkat and supporting performer Sean Tillmann will co-write and produce “Stitch N’ Bitch,” a new single-camera comedy pilot for HBO.

The project focuses on a pair of hipster girls who move from Brooklyn to Silver Lake in order to become artists. What kind of artists? Who cares!

For now, the three actors are only set as writer-producers. It’s possible they may star as well, though one would have to think that “Juno” and “Hard Candy” star Page, next appearing in Christopher Nolan’s mysterious “Inception,” might be a tough sell for a small-screen move.

Shawkat is best known for her work on “Arrested Development,” which her additional feature credits include the Sundance feature “Amreeka” and the upcoming “The Runaways.”

If you search for Tillmann, you’ll be most likely to find his music, credited as as Har Mar Superstar and Sean Na Na. He’s a lot better known in the UK.
