Everyone is dressing as a ‘Stranger Things’ character this Halloween

It goes without saying that you're going to be seeing a lot of Barbs, Elevens, Dustins and Steves this Halloween, but now the UK fashion website Lyst has evidence to back those assumptions up.

A few statistics offered up by the site:

– This pink ASOS “Peter Pan Collar Smock Structured Dress” that looks suspiciously like the one Eleven wore in the series was viewed once every three minutes on the site last week.

– Pageviews on what Lyst calls “Barb-style ruffled and pussy bow blouses” are up 42% from the same time last month.

– Dustin and/or Ash from Pokemon may be responsible for an 116% upsurge in searches for mesh trucker caps.

None of this is shocking, but it just goes to show that when it comes to a pop-cultural phenomenon like Stranger Things, a certain hive mind begins to develop. Nothing particularly wrong with it, just don't be surprised when you aren't the only Nancy at your Halloween party this year.
