Have you ever felt you’re looking a little bloated? Maybe puffy around the eyes? Yeah, well, chances are you never looked like the patient in this week’s episode of “Untold Stories of the ER” (airs Fri. Nov. 8 at 10:00 p.m. on Discovery Fit & Health, then repeats Sat. Nov. 9 at 9:00 p.m. on TLC). He comes in looking swollen, and it just gets worse from there. Think Violet Beauregarde. Okay, not that bad, but you get the idea.
But Swelling Guy isn’t the only weird case in this episode. A young man is found wearing only underwear and running shoes. He is brought into Dr. Kathleen Clem”s ER where she determines he is probably suffering a psychotic break. The patient has an insatiable craving for chocolate pudding, which turns out to have consequences nobody expected. A college student arrives in the ER short of breath and covered in red blotches. Just when Dr. Neal Aulick thinks he has the problem solved his patient”s symptoms flare up again.
