As the only emergency airport for 100 miles, fliers are grounded and worse, can’t fly in — and she hasn’t gotten a shipment for a week.
Also in this episode, a lack of food forces Glenn to pack his things and embark on the long journey back to Fairbanks. The low food supply makes this a race against time for Glenn. At the Hailstone camp, the family wakes up at the crack of dawn and embarks on their own journey to Agnes’s family camp to catch salmon for the winter months. See? Alaska = not an easy place in which to live. Pretty as all get out, but seriously, this life or death thing has got to get old, fast.
