Exclusive clip: The lights go out on ‘Deadliest Catch’

There's dark, and then there's middle-of-the-ocean dark. That's what the crab fisherman working on the Northwestern in tonight's episode of “Deadliest Catch” (Tues. May 27 at 9:00 p.m. ET on Discovery) must face in this exclusive clip.

After a good haul, the Northwestern's alarms go off — and so does the electricity. This doesn't sound so scary until you realize these men are stuck on the bobbing, weaving and potentially pitching deck. Yeah, they have entirely legit reasons for being scared of the dark. So does relief captain Edgar Hansen, who has to find out what's wrong as well as keep everyone from panicking.

Also in this week's episode, two boats are stalled — one captain is in the hospital while another is on a bender — meaning crab fishing season won't be as profitable for at least a few of the men. Out at sea an alleged felon is trapped, and on the Time Bandit, Captain Johnathan Hillstrand just wants to be young again.
