Exclusive: Dave McKean’s ‘Sandman: Overture #4’ Variant Cover Is A Tapestry Of Texture

This October, Neil Gaiman's 'The Sandman: Overture' saga continues with Issue #4. Twenty-five years after the original story, this prequel finally reveals how Morpheus – Dream of the Endless – ended up weak enough to be captured at the beginning of 'The Sandman.'

We've already shown you the variant cover drawn by the exceptional J.H. Williams III last week. Now Vertigo is ready to unveil the second alternate cover. This time artist Dave McKean adds his unique perspective to the world of The Endless.

While Williams chose muted water colors, McKean's style is more a tapestry of different textures. Which do you prefer?
