Right in the midst of their latest tour, reggae mainstays Morgan Heritage are prepping the release of their latest album “Strictly Roots.”
Despite the album title, the quintet actually does a fair amount of genre-mixing into this, their 10th album.
“'Strictly Roots' embodies Morgan Heritage on a 360 degree axis because of the various musical genres we include in the sound on this album,” keyboardist and vocalist Una Morgan told HitFix. “We're also very thankful for the opportunity to be able to get our music out to the masses without boundaries.”
Below, HitFix exclusively reveals a full stream of the 13-track effort, which includes guest spots from Shaggy, Chronixx, Bobby Lee from SOJA, Jo Mersa Marley, J Book and more.
Don Chandler, Seani B, Shane C. Brown, Jason “J-Vibe” Farmer, French reggae/dancehall producers MatthieuBost and Jérémie “Bim” Dessus, Andrew “Simmo” Simpson and DJ Fras all chipped in producing.
