Get to know Black Panther better with Marvel’s bite-sized explainer series

Now that we”ve all seen Captain America: Civil War and have converted to #TeamBlackPanther, Marvel is making sure the King of Wakanda get his due. But don”t worry, even you haven”t pledged yourself of our wise and merciful technologically-advanced savior, you can still enjoy T”Challa”s new comic, BLACK PANTHER, written by Ta-Nehisi Coates and with art by Brian Stelfreeze.

Much like Iron Man, Ant-Man, and the Guardians of the Galaxy before him, most people weren”t familiar with Black Panther until his ascension into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For folks who are now intrigued by this character, it”s a great time to jump on the comic book train. BLACK PANTHER #1 hit shelves in April of 2016 and quickly became the best-selling comic of the month. To help ease people into the lore, Marvel has also put out a video series designed specifically to showcase the world of Black Panther to new readers in a quick and entertaining way.

The series blends together animated comics, commentary from T-Nehisi Coates, and hip-hop group Run The Jewels for a bite-sized monthly look into the world of Wakanda.
