‘Gotham’ Gets Obsessed While ‘Supergirl’ Saves Her Sister On This Week’s Geeky TV

Last week on Gotham, Bullock (Donal Logue) and Lucius (Chris Chalk) turned out to be an awesome buddy-cop team even as Nygma completely lost his mind and became the Riddler for good. Oh, also Bruce was replaced by his evil twin and the Court of Owls, for some reason, dumped him with R’as Al Ghul instead of just killing him, because Gotham‘s writer’s room scoffs at your concept of narrative restraint.

This episode, directed by Gordon himself Ben McKenzie, while Bruce learns his future as a ninja from Lance Henriksen in what probably is not an Into The Badlands crossover, but you can’t rule anything out with this show. Still, why, Court of Owls, are you making him a ninja? This doesn’t seem like a bad idea at all? We’ll find out just how bad tonight at 8pm EST on Fox. Meanwhile, in the slightly more restrained DC show…

Supergirl gets a little Saw as Alex is kidnapped in order to force Supergirl to do a mysterious voice’s bidding. One suspects that abducting the secret agent who frankly gives her superpowered sister a run for her money in the butt-kicking department will end poorly for whoever the voice in question is. Frankly, he’ll be lucky if Alex’s psychic alien boss, or maybe her alien-punching police officer girlfriend, gets him first. We’ll find out tonight at 8pm EST on the CW. Join us, won’t you?
