No need to “Let It Go”: Disney is already working on a “Frozen” sequel.
After raking in nearly $1.3 billion worldwide, the Disney animated smash is now getting a followup, according to star Idina Menzel in a new interview with the Telegraph.
“They”re all in the works,” Menzel said when asked whether a film sequel and rumored “Frozen” stage musical were forthcoming.
“[I'm not starring in] the stage show – I don”t know what will happen with that – but the movie, hopefully,” she continued. “We”ll see. I”m just going along for the ride.”
“Frozen” took home two Academy Awards at this year's ceremony including Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song (“Let It Go”). It currently stands as the highest-grossing animated film of all time.
