Imagine being a mega-famous celebrity walking the streets of New York. Now imagine being a 6-foot, 5-inch mega-famous celebrity walking the streets of New York, and you'll have an idea of what it's like for Howard Stern to take a stroll through Manhattan. This time, of course, the radio legend had a camera crew following him, and it's a joy to see him yukking it up with “regular folk” as he films a goodbye video for his final season of “America's Got Talent” (he wrapped up his stint on the NBC series last night). Howard may be internationally famous, but he's no more beloved than in his big-city hometown, and it's nice to see him casually mingle on the street with cops and ice cream-enjoying twentysomethings alike.
