Ice Cube and the ‘Straight Outta Compton’ cast weigh in on Drake vs. Meek Mill

Ice Cube and his former N.W.A. cohort DJ Yella, plus “Straight Outta Compton” cast members Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell and O'Shea Jackson, Jr., have some things — not too much, but some — to say about Drake and Meek Mill's current hip-hop beef.

Last month, rapper Meek Mill accused Drake of using a ghostwriter, particularly on his guest verse of Mill's song “R.I.C.O.” and since then the rappers have been trading barbs in song and on social media (and, this weekend, at Drake's own music OVOFest).

Ice Cube split from N.W.A. in December 1989, and the solo artist and the remaining crew lobbed diss tracks at each other in one of the biggest wars in rap history. Hawkins, Mitchell and Jackson Jr. play Dr. Dre, Eazy-E and Ice Cube in the film “Straight Outta Compton” — a biopic on N.W.A. — respectively.

So these guys probably know a good fight when they see one. Check out the video above.

“Straight Outta Compton” is in theaters Aug. 14.
