Even as he finishes up this leg of his 2009 tour, Jay-Z feels it’s a good time to add more than a dozen 2010 tour dates. The rapper has tapped Young Jeezy as an opener for the 14 announced stops to promote his “Blueprint 3” album. More concerts will be added to the itinerary at a later date.
Tickets go on sale Nov. 13 via LiveNation.com, while Citi cardmembers get first dibs on Nov. 10 — see citiprivatepass.com for more details.
Jigga has four more dates this month to perform: Nov. 7 in Fresno, Calif., Nov. 8 in Los Angeles, Nov. 10 in Austin, Texas and Nov. 12 in Champaign, Ill., all of which are at universities. Next year’s stop-offs, which start in February, will be at arenas.
With the Yankees affiliations and MTV appearances and guest spots on Oprah et cetera, Jay-Z can’t keep out of the headlines since the release of his “Blueprint 3” earlier this summer. As previously reported, he and Alicia Keys are making a sequal to “Empire State of Mind.” He and his wife Beyonce also performed last night at the MTV European Music Awards — see pictures here.
