Jesse Eisenberg: Being at Comic-Con is like ‘genocide’

Jesse Eisenberg was at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend to support “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” in which he plays Lex Luthor.

Aftwerward, the AP caught up with the actor to talk about a much smaller film “End of the Tour,” and asked about his experience of speaking on that Hall H panel.

“It is like being screamed at by thousands of people. I don't know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide. I can't think of anything that's equivalent,” he said.

Jesse Eisenberg is typically well-spoken and dry, a very smart dude; when it comes to the Con's screaming masses, do you think he was being purposefully inflammatory? Sarcastic? Or was that a foot-in-mouth moment? How do you read his comment?
