Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hasn't even been released in theaters yet but the sequel already has a release date: November 16, 2018. According to The Hollywood Reporter, J.K. Rowling – who wrote the first movie, set for November 18 – will also write the sequel, and David Yates will direct. (Yates also directed the first, as well as four Harry Potter films.)
Fantastic Beasts, a Harry Potter spinoff of sorts, also takes place within the Potter wizarding world and is the first of a trilogy. The movie stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, and Colin Farrell.
