Keanu Reeves is trying his hand at his first comedy since 2003 with “Henry’s Crime,” which will also be the first film the actor will produce under his Company Films banner.

According to Variety, the “Capra-esque” romantic comedy was penned by Sacha Gervasi (“Anvil The Story of Anvil”); it will be co-produced by Reeves’ Company Films partner Stephen Hamel and Lemore Syvan, with Scott Fisher as executive producer.

The story stars a loveable Reeves, who is wrongly blamed for robbing a bank in Buffalo, N.Y. His last comedic role was 2003’s “Something’s Gotta Give” and he recently played Chris Nadeau in this year’s “The Private Lives of Pippa Lee.”
