Let’s Talk This Week’s Geeky TV: ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Finishes Off A Megacrossover

Last week on Legends of Tomorrow, there were cowboys. Now? There are aliens. Sadly they won’t be mixing the two since Jonah Hex blasting alien mooks would be great TV, but we do get to finish off a mega-crossover that picks up from yesterday’s Arrow.

If you missed Arrow, after a bunch of our heroes spent the episode having their heads messed with by alien jerks, they escaped and got rescued by our doughty team of time travelers. Now, the main question is how to punt these aliens from Earth in the first place. One assumes since they’re on a time ship and Barry has destroyed the timeline anyway, that they’ll just go back in time to fix the problem, because hey, what are a few timequakes among friends? Oh, also, Professor Stein now has a daughter (Christina Brucato from Orange Is The New Black) which he doesn’t know. Good work, Barry.

Joking aside, the crossover has done a fairly interesting job of adapting a complex, sprawling comic book story to the small screen. It’s managed to play to each show’s individual strengths, which means this final episode will probably be gleeful comic-book-style SF, not least because there have been hints they’re heading to Roswell, or at least an approximation, this episode. We’ll find out tonight at 8pm EST on the CW. Join us, won’t you?
