Listen: Christina Aguilera belts ‘Casa De Mi Padre’ from Will Ferrell’s new movie

Christina Aguilera”s redemption continues: First she signs up as a judge on “The Voice,” which turns into a runaway hit that is beating “American Idol” at every turn (take that Jenny From the Block). Then she and her “Voice” mate Adam Levine duet on Maroon 5″s No. 1 smash, “Moves Like Jagger,” and now, she”s unleashed the below batch of awesomeness.

[More after the jump…]

She sings the theme song for “Casa De Mi Padre,” Will Farrell”s new movie, a tele-novela-styled comedy.

It”s grand and dramatic and cheesy and wonderful all at the same time, just as it is meant to be. Plus she sounds absolutely great.  With its grand orchestration and suspenseful tempo, it sounds like the theme to a Spanish James Bond movie. Plus, the mariachi horns are a bonus.

The title translates to “The House of My Father,” and the lyrics are basically nonsensical about the being over her mother”s land.. which we”re sure is meant as a double entendre.

Aguilera, of course, is no stranger to recording in Spanish. She released a Spanish album in 2000, “Mi Reflejo.”
She recorded the song months ago, as it originally showed up on YouTube last summer.

If she keeps singing like this, soon we’ll all forget about “Bionic.”
