LOS ANGELES – The cast of “Mad Men” were center stage at PaleyFest Friday night to talk about their acclaimed drama series which is counting down its last 14 episodes. Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks, Vincent Kartheiser and Elisabeth Moss, among others, spoke to the press beforehand including HitFix's own Melinda Newman. Moss, who has played Peggy Olsen from her days as an assistant to effectively a creative director at the end of last season, was asked what moment in Olsen's journey she's most proud of.
“I think when she went quit and went from SC&P and went to CGC is kind of the obvious answer, but I think that made me very proud of her because it was a very difficult thing to do,” Olsen says. “Not only leaving the office, but leaving Don and I was very proud of her.”
Olsen has had a complicated personal relationship with her on and off again boss Don Draper (Jon Hamm) over the years, but Moss hopes she ends up happy with her professional ambitions when the series comes to end in 2015.
“I want her to end up happy at work,” Olsen says. “I feel a certain kinship to her professional journey, but to me that's more important and I think it's more important to Peggy.”
