If you're anything like me, you also likely questioned the legitimacy of 17-year-old Brendan Dassey's first-degree intentional homicide conviction, given both his intellectual deficits and the fact that his videotaped confession to the murder of photographer Teresa Halbach appeared to be coerced by investigators, among other factors.
Now, after spending more than ten years behind bars, Dassey's conviction has been overturned by a federal Magistrate judge, who has ordered his release from prison within 90 days.
